The Puerto Rican Journal of Psychology adheres to the use of inclusive language by gender, race, age, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, and other sociodemographic characteristics.
In addition, we suggest authors to write their articles using the first person singular, except in cases of two or more authors, in order to reduce the ambiguity of personal opinions and avoid the excessive use of "we". Likewise, we suggest that the authors use the active voice in the present tense and reduce the use of gerunds and past participles (e.g., instead of: was running, use: ran). To the extent possible, the authors should avoid the use of regionalisms or technical terms.
