Abstract

This article reviews the mesurement instrument for children and adolescents that have been developed and used in Puerto Rico since 1925. It discusses these instruments in relation to the role and function of school psychologists. It stresses that the challenge Puerto Rican psychologists face in the Nineties lies in the publication and distribution of the developed instruments along with a sociohistorial perspective in the assessment process.
